Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo, 8, Lisboa. Every day, from 07:30 AM to 08:00 PM.
To buy and stay: yellow corn broa or Alentejo-style bread? Crust and crumb in different combinations are what you’ll find at the new Bread & Friends, the first of its kind from the SANA Group. This bakery in the heart of the city also brings together pastry and coffee. The pastry selection is traditional, featuring Bolas de Berlim, made from butter brioche with extended fermentation and sourdough addition; Brioche Craquelin, filled with artisanal creams; and Chocolate Babka, made with sweet laminated dough, fermented for 24 hours, and filled with chocolate, walnuts, and crunchy praline. As for the coffee, expect two blends roasted in-house. Uganda Robusta and Guatemala Arabica are the origins of Bread & Friends’ coffee.
