A Film Produced for the SANA Group
The stage of production is in full view for everyone who steps inside. Special flours and diverse combinations define the identity of Bread & Friends. The bread is crafted artisanally, using slow-fermented sourdough, like the Alentejo-style bread, made with a highly acidic dough that ferments for 48 to 72 hours. Or the surprising chestnut and fennel bread, prepared with fresh seasonal chestnuts, peeled and boiled, using even the cooking water to enhance its flavor.
Watch the Bread & Friends presentation film, produced by our team—let yourself be drawn into the delicacy of the details and imagine the aroma of freshly ground coffee.
Located on Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo, in Lisbon, Bread & Friends is the first store of this new SANA Group brand to open. But this space is about more than just bread—pastry is also a key focus, crafted in full view of customers. From the classic Bola de Berlim to the brioche craquelin filled with artisanal creams, or the chocolate babka, made with 24-hour fermented puff pastry and filled with walnuts and crunchy praline, the selection ranges from traditional Portuguese pastries to internationally inspired creations.
The same level of care is given to the coffee, with two signature blends roasted in-house at different times of the day. Sourced from Uganda (Robusta) and Guatemala (Arabica), the selection includes both everyday traditional coffee and gourmet coffee, roasted artisanal-style right in the store.
